Information we collect

We collect what you hand us. That means the name, phone number, email address and job details you type into a quote, booking, enquiry or class registration form on this site, plus anything you tell us on the phone or by email afterwards.

We also receive standard technical information that your browser sends to any website: your approximate location by region, device type, browser, and the pages you looked at. This arrives in aggregate through analytics and is not used to identify you personally.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• To schedule, confirm and remind you about an appointment or a class.
• To carry out the work and keep a record of what was done to your vehicle, which matters for warranty.
• To take payment.
• To send occasional updates about services or class dates, if you have agreed to that.

Text messages

If you tick the consent box on a form, you agree that we may contact you by text about your enquiry, your appointment, or class availability. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.

You can stop these at any time by replying STOP to any message we send, or by telling us on the phone. Replying HELP returns our contact details. Opting out of marketing texts does not stop us contacting you about a job you have already booked with us.

Mobile numbers and consent given for text messaging are not sold, rented or shared with third parties for their own marketing.

Live chat

There is a chat window on this site. Anything you type into it, along with the name and contact details you give the chat, reaches us the same way an enquiry form would, and we keep the conversation so whoever picks it up can see what you already told us.

The chat is run for us by an outside provider and is hosted on their systems. Please do not type card numbers or other payment details into it.

Who else sees it

We use outside providers to run parts of this operation, including scheduling, customer records, live chat, email delivery and payment processing. They receive only what they need to perform that function and are not permitted to use your details for anything else.

We do not sell your personal information. We will disclose it where the law requires us to, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Cookies

This site uses cookies to keep it working correctly and to measure how it is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop parts of the booking process from functioning.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that never turn into work are cleared out periodically. Records relating to a job we actually performed are kept for as long as any warranty could apply and for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your choices

Children

This site is aimed at adults arranging vehicle work or enrolling in trade training. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting how we contact you will be flagged directly where we can.
